Loan Approved For Hospital At Decatur

The Decatur Hospital Authority has been notified that a 1 300 000 loan to aid in construction of a new 50 bed hospital has been approved by the Hospital Advisory Committee of the State Department of Health. The loan will be used in building a 1 600 900 hospital in Decatur replacing the present 19 bed hospital. The loan awaits final approval by federal officials.

Bridgeport police report eleven local boys arrested in the last week on burglary charges. Two entered Acme Brick Company, four burglarized the Walnut Tree, and five targeted a local school. Two additional youths faced tire theft charges by sheriffs deputies.
