Fort Worth Pair Jailed After High Speed Chase
Two Fort Worth teens, Mario Reme Carrizales and Michael Martinez both 17, were jailed in Decatur after a high speed chase with DPS officers. The stolen car sped through Decatur before crashing. Carrizales faced auto theft marijuana and fleeing charges with bonds set at 2500 and 200 while Martinez faced marijuana charges with a 200 bond.

Christmas Concert At High School Auditorium Highlights Hymn Arrangements
One hundred eighty band students in grades 7 through 12 perform at the annual Christmas Concert in the High School Auditorium at 2:30 Sunday. The program features nine hymns arranged for concert band, a ten member percussion ensemble performing Penatonic Clock, and a variety of instruments including vibraphone and celeste. The 47 member seventh grade band opens with A Aura Lee and Mariana, with solos by Kathy Peyton and Tony Harreson. Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer is the featured Christmas piece, Bandtango highlights the eighth grade, and Scarborough Fair closes that segment. Doris Kennemer is band assistant, Mike Cheves guest announcer, with a reception in the band hall and a Parade of Champions film shown. The event is free and lasts about 50 minutes.

Judge Starts Busy Day in Wise County Court
Newly appointed District Judge Larry Sullivant on his first day in the 235th District Court in Decatur heard guilty pleas and sentenced seven defendants in Wise County. Bets include five year probated terms for Bobby Martinez and Greg Tackett for burglary and a five year probated sentence plus $500 fine for Harlan Wayne Taylor, as well as a five year sentence in Huntsville for James David Norris for burglary of habitation.

Burglars Escape From Chapman Auto Supply Bridgeport
Bridgeport burglars escaped Sunday from Chapman's Auto Supply with about 125 dollars in cash, the cash register, and numerous tools and auto parts. Tools and equipment were valued around 5000 dollars. Investigators say the back door was kicked in during the 2 to 6 am window. No suspects were in custody by Tuesday press time.

Swearing in ceremonies set for 4 p.m. December 23 in the District Courtroom Decatur for six new county officials who assume office January 1. Officials include commissioners Jim Harris and S C Hays, county attorney Stephen Wren, sheriff Carl Ramsey, constables Pat Davis and W R Jones, with W A Hughes administering. Few Leads In Wise County Bank Robbery Murder Case
Wise County lawmen pursue scarce leads in the December 6 First State Bank of Chico robbery and the November 26 Boonsville rancher JK Smith murder. Four armed bandits escaped with about $50,000 from the Chico bank. three wore toboggan masks. The van and second vehicle fled, the gunmen possibly linked to Wichita Falls thefts. An autopsy results and tips are being sought by the Wise County Sheriff's Office and Texas Ranger Tommie Walker.
