Immunization Rules Outlined for Bridgeport Students
Bridgeport school rules issued by Superintendent Alfred Greer require polio three doses with one after age four, DPT three doses with a post age four dose, and measles along with rubella and smallpox requirements for different grades. Immunization should start by January 1 1972 and records kept for each child with college students under 19 also needing vaccines.

Budget Hearing Results in Bridgeport School Board Action
At a special Monday meeting the Bridgeport School Board approved a 1971 72 budget of 996 910 with two attendees. The board adopted a liberal dress and hair policy allowing pants with exceptions and preserving current boys hair length. Additional policies covered attendance tardiness conduct driving smoking threats and fireworks. Dr Tom Shasteen of Cooke County Junior College outlined Bridgeport service plans and new classes including vocational auto mechanics.

Ryan Regains Position on Bridgeport Police Force
Bridgeport police officer Bill Ryan was reinstated by the City Council after a dispute over a vacation. Ryan had argued the time off was approved by Police Chief Walter Dale weeks earlier, and officials ruled a misunderstanding led to his firing.
