Youth Rodeo Starts Friday in Bridgeport at BRC Arena
The annual Bridgeport Youth Rodeo kicks off at 7:30 p.m. Friday at the BRC arena on FM 920, running through Saturday night. Open to contestants 21 and under, events include bull riding, junior bull riding, team roping, steer saddling, ribbon roping, calf roping, barrel racing, breakaway roping, poles, rescue race, steer riding, and mutton busting. Tragedy in Decatur: Bioleta Garcia Dies in Highway 380 Wreck
A 20 year old Bioleta Garcia of Bridgeport was killed when a pickup driven by 73 year old Arlen Morris crossed Highway 380 at Rose Avenue in Decatur. Morris and his wife were treated and released, five year old Layla Tennison was taken for precaution, police say the crash remains under investigation.
