Return of U S Troops From Carrizal Battle Ends Safe
Negro troopers of the Tenth Cavalry liberated from Mexican captivity were delivered to General Bell at the border. Survivors described brutal fighting at Carrizal, bayonetings of wounded, and their march to Chihuahua City before crossing into the United States.
