Mathewson and Burnham clash over the reward as lawyers take part. Burnham denies visits to the site while maintaining ownership of the jewels.

Divorce Suit of Unkissed Bride Is Closed Today
New York June 30 The suit of the unkissed bride Mrs E V Gambier against her banker husband for separation on abandonment closed today Justice Pendleton gave the attorneys 10 days to file briefs When the motion for a jury trial of the annulment cross suit brought by Gambier against Mrs Gambier was renewed Justice Pendleton referred the matter to Special Term This carried the case over until October.

Archbishop O'Connor of Toronto Dies
Toronto June 30. Archbisthes O'Connor of the Roman Catholic Church dies after long illness from pernicious anaemia. He headed the Toronto diocese until a few years ago when Archbishop McEvoy succeeded him and O'Connor retired. No appointments expected. Police Commissioners meet briefly to approve payroll and transact routine business.
