Ringling Brothers Bring Spectacle to Bridgeport in Grand Parade

Bridgeport crowds flocked to a Ringling Brothers parade and circus in a daylong show featuring 400 performers across three rings. The menagerie dazzled with infant animals, from a baby kangaroo to two cub lions, while horses, camels, zebras, and elephants performed in intricate acts. An 80 piece military band, a zoo open for viewing, and multilingual dressing tents highlighted a modern, well organized spectacle. The event, praised for discipline and polish, included a grand opera concert and a lavish opening tournament for two afternoon and evening performances.
