A juvenile eagle swept down on Emma Creewald near Compo Street in Westport. Mr. Randolf Creewald fired a shot that struck the eagle, causing it to retreat. Neighbors gathered as the bird, estimated wingspan over six feet, fled. the child unharmed but shaken.
