New Haven reports a broad statewide push against heroin sales. Dr. Wright outlined efforts to arrest druggists selling a cocaine heroin compound, noting no current state law against heroin yet while an ordinance awaits alderman approval. He also works with the dairy commissioners to target heroin cocaine products.
The Board of Equalization adds amounts to 1911 town lists for State and County taxation across Fairfield and Litchfield counties. Fairfield County towns receive additions totaling 19,280,000 and Litchfield County additions total 8,205,000 to reach statutory baselines. Some towns voluntarily increased lists, while others rely on adjustments to reflect property valuations and statutory requirements.
