Easton News Highlights Grange Event and Local Visits
Mrs Frank Blake man returned to Oronoque from Easton after a short stay with Mr and Mrs J Arthur Sherwood. Miss A Florence Nichols, now teaching in South Norwalk, visited the Silliman home. Members anticipate the Pomona meeting and dedication of the new Grange hall on Wednesday with a 10 30 AM session for fifth degree and a noon dinner. The hall dedication follows at 2 PM with an illustrated program. The Easton Congregational Sunday School will host a Children's Day concert next Sunday at 8 PM with songs recitations and a stereopticon talk Children of Different Lands At Home and At School. Baston Grange meets Tuesday with important business and a program, no degree work. The Dramatic Committee presents Cranberry Carters at Nichols Thursday eve June 10 and at Redding Tuesday eve June 16. A Children's Day rehearsal at the Panegational church is set for Saturday at 2 PM. Miss Hazel E Sherwood enjoyed tea with Mrs Thomas Turney Saturday.
