Thousands witness Miller Brothers 101 Ranch Wild West show parade through Main Street. Cowboys Indians cowgirls Cossacks and stage chariots with floats and beadwork dazzled crowds. the mile-long procession, featuring real wigwams ponies and gaudy costumes, drew vast attention as it rolled past Armory and storefronts.
A Brid gepert Knights of Columbus event featured mass at St Augu stine's, a banquet at the Stratfield, and a degree work demonstration directed by John M. Lee and Charles G. Murphy. State Deputy Mulligan hosted, Father Keefe spoke, and Dr John G. Corie discussed Catholic progress in America. Local candidates and banquet committee members were named, with notable attendees from multiple cities.
Boston June 2 veteran organizations of New England Old Guard of New York and State Councils of Philadelphia joined Ancient and Honorable Artillery Company for its 275th anniversary celebration. The two day program included a luncheon in Faneuil Hall and a parade displaying uniforms from Continental days. About one thousand men will attend the annual banquet. Tonight guests will tour the harbor aboard Benguet and Sceworke.
Hartford June 2 Governor Baldwin declares that several acts extending time for organizing street railway and related companies omit the par stock requirement. He urges a general law to curb watered capital and warns against special exceptions in charters. He argues stock must be not less than par and fully paid in cash or equivalent.
Washington June 2 the Senate judiciary sub committee opened hearings to trace workings of the tariff lobby and identify individuals who approached senators to influence tariff schedules. Senators Overman Reed Ashhurst Bacon Bankhead and Borah faced questions, while President Wilson faced scrutiny over a rumored insidious lobby.

Carter Glase of Virginia is favored as banking and currency chair with four holdovers, nine new Democrats named, Shackleford of Missouri to chair Good Roads, Hughes of Georgia wins Education, Hobson stays with Naval Affairs, Labor Committee sees Lewis of Maryland as chair and Maher of New York becomes ranking member and head of the Expenditures in the Labor Department panel.
Selestyen Horisth a 35 year old solderer at Graphophone Company on his second day drank water from a carboy containing soldering solution with muriatic acid. He was rushed to St Vincent hospital with a fair chance of recovery. he lives at 173 Pine Street.
In Boston on June 2 1912 the government renewed its case in superior court linking William M Wood of the American Woolen Company Frederick B Atteaux and Dennis J Collins to a dynamite plot aimed at discrediting textile strikers in Lawrence. A chauffeur testified he drove a man resembling Atteaux from Wood's Boston home to the corner of Washington and Franklin Streets on January 19 1912 the night the dynamite was planted. The prosecution expected to rest its case today with Charles A Hardy among witnesses and defense likely to call Atteaux. James R Bailey testified he could not recall approving a 485 voucher for a private detective agency during the strike.
Chicago June 2 Theodore Roosevelt arrived after returning from Marquette Mich where his suit for libel settled in his favor by six cents He said he was delighted by the result and appeared in jubilant spirits He departed for New York at eight o clock

A parade led to shop stones and windows breaking. police faced attacks as nine strikers were arrested. The workers seek shorter hours higher pay and preservation of tips. factions include IWW and AFL members.
Fort Smith Ark June 2 Kansas authorities are asked to detain John Sick an express messenger from Kansas City pending an investigation of the killing of Patrick Lawson a youth of Poteau Okla aboard the express car of a Kansas City Southern train near Heavener Okla yesterday Sick says he found Lawson and Albert Pruett also of Poteau riding the blind fearing robbery he says Lawson attacked and he opened fire Pruett says Sick shot Lawson when the latter lowered his hands after they were returning from a picnic in Heavener
Mary E. Webster of Brooklyn, a likely elderly woman, interrupted Frank D. Webster's divorce case in supreme court last Thursday. She sues him for 200 dollars claiming an unsatisfied verdict of 137.52 dollars in New York state supreme court. She denounced him as a spiritualist in court and said she learned of the action only a day before. Webster resides in Norwalk.
Elvina Kierpsicz aged five was accidentally shot by her seven year old brother Edward in a Cheshire shed. The gun was brought into the house where she played and discharged, killing her instantly. the coroner ruled the death accidental while the father was away.
James Haugh of Norwalk sues David Jenks of Wilton for 1500 after being struck by Jenks carriage on November 2 1922 in Norwalk He alleges a leg breaking injury and three months recovery due to rubber tires and not hearing the approach The case is returnable to the common pleas court June term.
Henry Elias Brewing Co sues Joseph Billings for 1300 dollars claiming a 1500 dollar note given on November 29 1912 remains unpaid Deputy Sheriff Abriola attached Billings funds in a local bank and seized the liquor license at Hotel Billings on Water street.
Hartford June 2 The legislature entered the last three days of its 1913 session with many members ready to stay until adjournment on Wednesday. Bills were backlogged with printing delays as committees and members debated near midnight. A deer bill set Nov 23 to Dec 1 as open season with shotgun only, one buck per hunter, a $2.25 license, and penalties for out of season hunting. The Norwalk and South Norwalk consolidation bill passed the House with amendments including water rights, a referendum, and continuity of current officers. The two days rest in 15 for telegraph operators bill drew strong support. Bridgeport bonds bill, New Haven harbor provisions, eight-hour labor limits in humane institutions, and a constitutional amendment limiting Assembly members to state law are among topics. Appropriation bills moved forward. hospital aid and barge commission funding debated. A merger and lease supervision bill faced recall attempts amid heavy lobbying.

He alleges negligence for not maintaining a flagman or signals, claiming he and his party narrowly escaped death when two freight trains blocked view and the auto was struck. The case is returnable to the June term of Superior Court.
The funeral of Dr. Robert Lander, a renowned Connecticut physician, from the Soldiers' Home in Noroton, was held in Bridgeport with services at First M E Church. Rev. George M Brown delivered the eulogy as veterans and medical and G A R members attended before interment at Mountain Grove cemetery.
