Regulars Back Postal Savings Bill in caucus push
United Press reports Washington on June 2 that all regular Republicans favor the postal savings bill after caucus, predicting smooth House passage within two to three weeks. Disposition of funds drew protests from insurgents, with 65 percent to stay local, 30 percent invest in US securities, and 5 percent a permanent reserve in custody of the US Treasury. Representative South of New York condemned the plan as socialistic amid ongoing debates. A stove polish ad ends the piece.
