The Barnum avenue extension to Stratford will begin regular service on Monday. Regular cars to New Haven Cheshire Waterbury Washington Bridge and Beard's Corner will depart from State street and Fairfield avenue every 30 minutes. Services also run from Main street and Fairfield avenue on a half hourly schedule, with extra trips toward Beard's Corner New Haven and Paradise Green as needed.

Miller gave a mortgage deed for 4000 dollars and a warranty deed to the Bridgeport Vehicle Co.

Burglars Fail to Crack Heavy Safe at Sprague Ice & Coal
Thieves battered the Sprague Ice and Coal Co office safe with a sledge hammer and chisels but failed to open it. They forced entry through a rear window, turned down the office light, and left with no loot as the robust steel safe preserved hundreds of dollars. The break-in was detected at 5:30 a.m. and investigated by police. the safe door later opened by the dealer confirming intact contents.
