Police report a burglary at Michaels & Go. at 1192 Main Street early today with diamonds and watches valued around 5000 stolen from a window left overnight. thieves used broken glass to access the display and left the rest of the case untouched.
General freight rate hikes on manufactured goods end steel billets pig iron and direct interlining were requested by Baltimore & Ohio with the interstate commerce commission. The plan seeks higher through rates from central territory to England via water routes and brick transport to eastern points including Canadian routes. Weather continued cold and cloudy with slight precipitation.
Judge F E Bartlett criticized police for not focusing on major crimes and ordered notes entered in 24 jitney driver cases.
