Tragic Home Fire Claims Two Children in Early Morning Blaze
A devastating house fire at 10 o'clock this morning in the Sullivan residence killed a four year old boy Joseph Sullivan and his baby sister Mary. Henry Sullivan, the oldest son, survived with severe burns after waking to flames engulfing the home. Neighbors and firefighters, including ambulances, treated the dying children, while Father Dalutme administered baptism to the dying. The blaze likely started from the kitchen stove, and delay in locating the children nearly cost their lives.
