Stamford on August 21 reported burglars entered the Sound Beach railroad Station by forcing a window and stole gowns and jewelry valued at 1000 from Mrs. George F Demarest. A trunk addressed to Miss Campbell, Sound Beach, was rifled. No money was taken.
Washington August 20 attorney for Mrs Sutton in the inquiry into her son's death at Annapolis criticized Judge Advocate Leonard and the court in emphatic terms. He disputed the court finding that Sutton was killed by a service Colt revolver held in his right hand and fired by himself.

Also includes a Bridgeport license transfer notice and endorsements by local taxpayers dated August 12–13, 1209.
