Proclamation calling August election on Texas constitutional amendments
Governor J S Hogg proclaims a statewide election on the second Tuesday in August 1891 to decide several joint resolutions amending Texas constitution articles 4 5 6 7 11 12 16 20 and related sections. Voters will cast ballots For or Against each amendment as labeled on the ballot. The proclamation cites the legislature sessions adjourned April 13 2801 and authorizes county election officials to conduct the vote.
