Closing exercises at Gay Mre School mark farewell to Prof Wiedemann
On a March day in 1902 Peter Behool of Queen Hill Texas would have seen a crowd of men women and children on the school grounds. Pupils conducted exams in grammar geography U S history civics and reading then shared a hearty dinner. The event ended with a solemn funeral procession for Mr Parkinon and a note of gratitude to Prof Wiedemann who announced his resignation.
