Senatorial and Judicial Conventions Gather in Caldwell
Delegates from Bastrop Burleson and Washington met in Caldwell for the Nineteenth district conventions. Ben S. Rogers chaired both sessions, nominating S. L. Staples for senator by acclamation and supporting Jon W. Bailey for U S senator. James Paul Buchanan was nominated for district attorney and J H Tate for judge. Delegates returned home by town train.
