Explosion at Indianapolis Union depot kills two
A locomotive explosion at the Union depot in Indianapolis on Monday morning killed engineer A. B. Moore and wounded fireman Isaac A. Ballard. The explosion wrecked the west end of the depot, damaged roof and walls, and shattered glass. No other deaths occurred though injuries were severe for some workers. The cause remains undetermined and the loss is estimated at 10,000 to 15,000 dollars.
