Brasil Electric Light stockholders meet November 1 1888
The annual meeting of the stockholders of the Brasil Electric Light Company will be held at the office of Jarboe Holliday Burk in Brazil Indiana on Monday November 1 1888 at 2 o'clock for the election of a Board of Directors for the coming year and for other business. Gro A Byrd secretary and treasurer.

The Presbyterian church hosted the marriage of Will C. Paine and Miss Josephine Herr with a novel ceremony led by Rev. Stewart and Rev. Clippinger. Attendants included ushers from Evansville and St Louis. A reception followed at the bride’s home, with gifts and warm wishes from local and distant friends.
