In Biordborg a priest is forced at gunpoint to marry Nicholas and Castalie in a church near a grave. The masked duo flee after a pistol shot, driving the priest to madness and the village to fear a secret midnight rite and a deathly tomb.
President W. B. Clark of the agricultural college plans a floating college voyage around the world aboard the General Werner. The iron steamship, carrying 250 students at 2600 each, will sail May 1 from New York, visiting Azores Ireland England Scotland Sweden Norway Antwerp Hamburg St Peters burg Havre and other ports, then Egypt India China and Calcutta, with homeward travel by the Sandwich Islands to San Francisco and overland to New York after about a year and a half.
