Silas Burns died Saturday at noon after a three week illness with Typhoid fever. He was 39 years and 22 days old, never married, a skilled mechanic with solid reputation but no steady occupation. Funeral held Sunday at Florence Cemetery at 3 15 p m. Rev Wayne Sutton officiated. He leaves an aging father and mother and three married sisters. The sermon stressed Christian duty and enduring sufferings. A. P Dear and L B Dear sang a solo During the service Mrs Ethel Dear sang When Jesus comes into my heart.
State of Mississippi Rankin County commands nonresident defendant Robert Harrison to appear before the Rankin County Chancery Court on the fourth Monday of March A.D. 1916 to defend Laura Harrison's suit. This 25th day of October, 1915. T. L. Gay, Chancery Clerk.

The State of Mississippi to E R Sloan an attachment in the suit of W H Watkins against your estate for 293.52 dollars now pending in Rankin County Circuit Court at Brandon. Unless you appear before the First Monday of January 1916 and plead, judgment will be entered and the attached estate will be sold. Witness my hand and seal this September 14, 1915. State of Mississippi to Eugene Weakly is summoned to defend suit of Ina Weakley in Rankin County Chancery Court on the Monday of March 1916. This notice dated October 4, 1915, signed by T. L. GaY, Chancery Clerk.
