Death of Dr. E. B. Rauch A Young Surgeon Remembered
Dr. Edward Shelby Rauch, 24, a native of Edwards and Tulane graduate, died after a brave fight with yellow fever at the infirmary. He volunteered for medical relief in Hamburg, worked in Vicksburg and Hamburg, fell ill, and died leaving a family and medical peers in mourning. Funeral held at J. Q. Arnold parlors with relatives and doctors in attendance.
