Educationists Gather for Brandon County Association Program
The November 7 1908 meeting of the Program Teachers' Association Brandon opens at 9 30 a m with multiple sessions led by Rev R D Norsworthy J I Covington and others. Topics cover teaching methods geography physiology history and text book uniformity with debates on mathematics versus language and a course of study adopted at the Florence county institute. The group adopts the county institute course and votes to meet again November first in Johnson Hall with officers retained and a by laws committee appointed.

Proceedings of the October Meeting of the Teachers Association
The October session in Brandon Mississippi opened at Johnson Hall with Prof Dawsey presiding at 10 a m. J S Covington acted as secretary pro tem as the list of attendees including J R Hast J C Robinson G G Hurst and many others was read and the group sang Take the Name of Jesus With You. The welcome speaker was absent but President Dawsey offered opening remarks and outlined upcoming work. The scheduled topic The Wish Day of School was to be discussed by absent participants.
