Bridge Contract Awarded and roads reviewed in Rankin County
Rankin County Board of Supervisors met October 7 1907 with full attendance. They awarded a bridge contract to J H Clark for 90 dollars and set a 60 day build period with a five year repair bond. They attached lands to the Aills stock law district and continued several road and stock law petitions. They advertised multiple county bridges and approved several schoolhouse and teacher payments funded from township funds. The ledger also covers treasury balances, damages settlement for a public road through R L Wilson’s land, an agenda to advertise a bridge on Brandon Steens Creek road, and resignations and appointments in road overseer roles. The letter from T H Turley Brandon to Earl Brewer thanks supporters after an election campaign.
