Rankin County Corn Contest Awards and Observations
The Board of Supervisors offered prizes to Rankin County white school boys for the best corn crop. Dan Williams of Monterey won 1st prize with 5212 bushels per acre, Toni and Berry Crain of Dobson took 2nd with 54% bushels, and Nash of Dobson earned 3rd with 47% bushels.
