Some Editors I Have Known From Days of Civil War
A reminiscence by Col. R. H. Henry detailing his Brandon Mississippi years, Col. Frantz's publishing house, and local editor clashes. The piece recalls social life, farming trade, printers, and a memorable cartoon of A T Morgan with Carrie Highgate, plus reflections on Frantz’s influence, the rise of railroads, and Henry’s founding of Newton Ledger before returning to Brandon.
