Delegates Compete At County Convention Ballot

At Saturday precinct voting a spirited contest produced a McLaurin led delegation two to one over Parker. New Industry for Rankin County Creamery Update

Rankin County launches a modern steam powered creamery led by O L McGilvra near Jackson. The plant, built with O W Owen & Son, processes 3500 pounds of milk weekly to yield 200 pounds of premium butter sold at 20 cents a pound. The separator handles 1000 pounds of milk per hour, extracting all cream for machinery churn.

Rankin County Sunday School Convention Date Set

The 18th annual Rankin County Sunday School convention will meet at Dry Creek on July 14 at 10:00 a.m. Superintendents will receive blank reports by mail and should submit their school reports to Miss Emma Harper in Thomasville promptly, costing only a two-cent stamp.

School delegates urged for upcoming convention

A letter urges each school to select two delegates, with extra for every 25 beyond 50, and to begin planning now. It names officers from last year including M. E. Melvin as president and John L. Evans as vice president, and appoints executive committee members to verify credentials and prepare the program.
