Rankin county board in regular session on July 5 1920 appointed Agnes Barnett as special deputy assessor awarded bridge contracts to Ellis Donnell Dan Tucker J S Laird and others and approved Shiloh school bonds bid by E N Ross issued warrants for loans and expenses and set plans for a county fair noting cotton prospects boll weevils and farmer guidance with a call for August 3 county fair meeting and a note on Judge Stevens resignation and new law firm forming Wells Stevens and Jones in Jackson Mississippi.
