Suspect Jailed In North Rankin Robbery Case

Miss Amanda Atkins Dies After Lifelong Service in Brandon
Miss Amanda Atkins, aged from long illness, died early Monday at dawn in Brandon after a life of duty and Christian service. For sixteen years she aided the blind in Jackson, nursing the sick and aiding the needy, a shining light to those she helped. Funeral held at her home conducted by Rev. Bryan Simmons, with burial in Brandon Cemetery where flowers honored her memory.
