Report of the House Committee on Affairs at Insane Hospital
The committee investigated the state insane hospital over twenty one days interviewing eighty three witnesses. They found rumors of mismanagement and mistreatment were grave but many employees testified frankly. Dr. R M Butler oversaw general management and added staff including an assistant supervisor and two bookkeepers, with salaries noted.
