Rankin County Board Adopts Bids and Bridge Plan 1920
Rankin County Board meets December 5 1920 with full attendance and authorizes notices to banks in Rankin County and adjoining counties to solicit bids for keeping county funds and for a bridge at Red Cane creek Beat No 3. It also authorizes highway fund expenditures through February 1 1921 and contracts for feed in Beats 1 and 2. The Pelahatchie Bank failure prompts a detailed audit of funds due the county totaling 50649.59 with overdrafts and a demand on U S Fidelity for 50499.79.
