Road contracts awarded in Copiah County Mississippi
The Copiah County Board of Supervisors awarded five road contracts divided by supervisor districts. Districts 1 through 5 named bidders C I Allen, R T Bailey, J D and R N Barksdale, N B Mephvim, and T J Wallace with per mile prices ranging from 26.97 to 46 and bonds from 4 000 to 6 060 dollars. Specifications require eighteen foot first class roads and fourteen foot second class roads with ditching culverts and fords to be kept clear and roads to be rebuilt each quarter.

Brandon Chapter will select three judges and forward one contestant to the state division. Essays by Mississippi public school pupils must be typewritten, reach the chapter by February 1 1910, and the division historian by March 1 1910.
