Rankin county farms pioneer co operative marketing feat

Rankin county summarizes its first year of co operative marketing led by Farm Agent S W Burks of Brandon and South Mississippi agent J Ed Ruff. From January 1918 to June 1919 the county shipped 29 Irish potato cars 18 sweet potato cars 27 hog cars 5 cattle cars and 31 fertilizer loads saving 4 50 per ton on 2000 tons. Bank deposits rose by 67000 with local banks.
