John the Baptist Preaches in the Jordan Valley
In the fifteenth year of Tiberius, John the son of Zechariah proclaims repentance for the forgiveness of sins in the wilderness and along the Jordan, urging fruit worthy of repentance and warning of judgment. Jesus is baptized, the heavens open, and a voice proclaims him beloved. The genealogy traces Jesus from Joseph back to Adam, confirming descent from David.
