Rankin County Board Acts on Roads Bridges and Finances

Rankin county board met April 5 with full attendance. They approved B A Clark’s inquest costs of 22 75 for Charlie McAfee, granted W T Stevens et al change of road 29 beat 2, and appointed W B Collier and W R Taylor to view the change. They prohibited game selling and ordered bids for a Saunders creek bridge at Webster's mill. They extended road 35 beat 4, issued warrants for bridges, continued H O Welch change of public road, dismissed T R Brinson costs, and approved W W Kersh as deputy assessor. The Bullock lands join the full stock law district six months hence. Various accounts, salaries, and school house repairs were approved, with year end balances listed for county, school, township, and pension funds.
