Democratic primaries held tonight with Jerre Rusk renominated for Wisconsin governor. Fergus Falls hosts a busy Park region Fair while county seat vote in Wadena is ordered. Prohibition nominees and party factions stir local tensions amid ongoing relief donations for Charleston.
Two masked men entered the T A Casernov residence in Norman County near Ada yesterday. They bound and gagged the colored servant girl, robbed the home of over 400 dollars, and hung the girl to a tree in the yard before she freed herself and sought help.
At the Workingmen's Club meeting H C Stivers won a large majority as the legislature candidate. Stivers, a Democrat, is expected to receive Democratic support at the convention tomorrow. Frank Mead, Mandan newspaper man, shot Frank Farnsworth at the Merchants hotel Tuesday. Farnsworth, a Mandan resident, was likely fatally wounded and the two men were once close friends.
Fifteen leading members of the Chamberlain Dakota Woman's Christian Temperance Union toured local saloons on Wednesday night and asked saloon keepers to remove life sized depictions of women dealing liquor from their windows. All but one complied.

Early yesterday morning Samuel John son a car cleaner and repairer on the N. P. at Fargo stepped backward from his car and was struck by a switch engine. The accident crushed his legs and caused severe facial and head bruises. His right leg was amputated and several toes on the left foot.
