Early returns from about a third of Minnesota precincts show Republicans leading Blaine and Logan electors by 10 516 with 25 746 to 15 250 over Cleveland. Congressional districts mirror gains with White Wakefield Strait Gillilan Nelson comfortably ahead. projections place state majority for national ticket around 35 000 to 40 000.
Milwaukee reports at 1 am show 210 of 1,200 towns with a Democratic gain of 6,900 over 1880, risking a statewide tilt to Cleveland if trend continues.
