Identity of John Bandy Confirmed by Exhumation
J. E. Davis, Bandy's brother-in-law, exhumed the body at Stony Brook to confirm identity. He recognized Bandy by the fur coat the man wore, the rubbers, and a distinct whetstone. Bandy, missing since deer season, likely died of exposure near Gull Lake, with his family moved to Gray Eagle. The council debated street openings and other city business.
