Lirvis Fats notes Minnesota city council recently elected on economy awarded city printing to the Herald at a higher bid than Transcript or Democrat. The Herald backed the administration and the council’s action prompts public questions about expense and policy.
The Minneapolis Journal notes that in the Sixth district Congressman C. A. Towne of Duluth is likely to be the party nominee if he aligns with the St Louis platform. It says he won’t bolt for gold and urges him to speak plainly to stop false talk. If he endorses St Louis, nomination by acclamation. otherwise he won’t be mentioned.
