First ocean liner to Duluth sails in Friday
The Federal Hunter will dock in Duluth on Friday afternoon as the first ocean liner of the year. It beats the previous arrival record by three days and the saltie type record by over a week. The ship, from Germany via Quebec, will load 15,000 metric tons of wheat before heading to Thunder Bay. The Soo Locks opened March 25.
