Brainerd Saloonkeeper Guilty For After Hour Closure
Tom Sanborn proprietor of the Gem saloon on Sixth street was found guilty for keeping the place open after midnight on Saturday. The judge set a fine of 20 dollars plus costs. It was proven no liquor was sold after the hour but the door was unlocked and the place lit. The case drew curiosity as a new arrangement for Brainerd, with city authorities backing the decision. Calicoes and dress goods advertised by Cohen Bros and Conren Bros respectively.

Congregational church program delights audience with varied acts
An overflow crowd enjoyed a Tuesday evening program by the Young People's Society of Christian Endeavor at the Congregational church. Prof. Barsch's orchestra opened, followed by readings, songs, recitations, a six-member minstrel troupe, a Pinafore selection, a duet, and finale by the Brainerd Musical Society. Land League Meeting at Hartley's Hall Delights Attendees
A large attentive crowd gathered Monday evening as Hartley's Hall hosted a Land League meeting. Arrest of Hamburg by Brainerd Deputy Echoed Across Lines
Fargo police detained William Hamburg on larceny warrants as a vagrant after a Brainerd telegraph. Deputy Frank Mattison, without authority in Dakota, escorted Hamburg to the Minnesota side where a warrant and handcuffs were used to return him to Brainerd for custody.
