Costco 2Q results rise above analysts on tax benefit
Costco Wholesale Corp reported fiscal second quarter net income up 39 percent to 547 million or 1.24 per share, beating expectations even before a 14 cent per share tax benefit. Revenue rose 8 percent to 24.87 billion as membership fees and stores grew, with 622 warehouses globally and plans to add up to 14 more before year end. Shares gained to 104.50 amid intraday trading.
