Mayo bill stalled as lawmaker questions financing plan
Mayo Clinic expansion bid faces tax subsidy doubts from House Tax Committee Chair Ann Lenczewski who says the proposal needs a major revision to advance. The plan would use future tax revenues and create a new public authority to oversee more than 500 million dollars in bonding for roads, bridges, transit, utilities, and riverfront upgrades. Governor Dayton supports aid but questions frontloading all funding.
