Early Monday morning a fire at I U White's gun store led to accusations against True Moore of Gull River. Police say Moore was seen fleeing from the rear of the store and entering Gardner's saloon, where witnesses reported him near the scene as flames started. Moore was bound over to the grand jury in $1000.

Near Fatal Conveyor Accident At Falls City Mill
Mr Ed Mahan of Falls City Manufacturing Work narrowly escaped death Monday when a revolving shaft caught his blouse and twisted him against the shaft. Workers freed him just in time. he was Insensible but later expected to recover in weeks. Earlier he survived a head injury from a falling sledge. Also noted is the death of Mrs Mary M Quinn at age 56 in the same city on March 4th 1891.

City Council Approves Watchman Appointment and Fire Safety Rules
The city council met in regular session with most aldermen present except Hemstead. They approved minutes, confirmed Mayor Wheatley’s appointment of M. Derocher as watchman with pay from injury date, and allowed Andy Bennett sick pay.
