A Grand Ball by Hose Co No 4 Impresses Brainerd
The benefit ball at the rink on Wednesday night by Hose Co No 4 was a brilliant event and signals prosperity for the company. Prof Dresskell and orchestra provided music and dancing continued late. It is hoped the funds will approach $100, placing the firemen on solid financial footing. The Brainerd firemen deserve all praise. The council will consider liquor licenses for numerous applicants from July 1, 1888 to July 1, 1889 after bonds and receipts are approved, with final action set for June 30.
