Lengthy Life and Death of Local Ex-Mayor Hagberg
Ex-mayor Michael Hagberg dies after a long illness. Born 1851 in Sweden, he arrived in 1871 and built a career from blacksmithing to grocery business. He served on the city council, led the board of education, and was mayor in 1892. Survived by wife, two sons, two brothers, and a sister. Funeral held at First Congregational Church with large turnout.

Infant of Warren Family Dies in City Burial Planned
An infant son of Mr and Mrs W A Warren died on Saturday in this city. remains were taken to Garrison for burial. Thomas Skiver aged 50 died at the Central House from pneumonia. He had wandered streets with an 18 year old boy for several days. Rolf Freddie Erickson aged 21 days, son of Mr and Mrs August Erickson of East Brainerd, died Sunday of lung fever. Funeral was held Tuesday afternoon with Rev Rowe officiating.
