The East Grand Forks school board ordered public schools closed citing brazen demimonde activity in the presence of pupils and city council inaction. A week earlier the city council raided the houses and drove them out, with the board claiming the problem returned and alleging the city marshal tolerates it. LA. White offers tents and a new line of rifles and shotguns at Laurel Street store, appealing to sportsmen.
