Troubled Brother of Minneapolis Man Found Hanged
The Minneapolis Journal reports the body of Wm. Caf fery, brother of Daniel Caffery of Minneapolis, was found suspended from a tree in woods at Minnetonka after more than a year. Once a Mount Pleasant businessman, he suffered severe losses in 1894 that affected his mind. He left in September 1894 to visit Daniel at Brainerd, possibly stopped in Minneapolis, and died by hanging. Papers dated August 1894 indicate he had been dead for over a year. only bones remained and watch money was corroded.
